The Church recognizes that many of our families honor a young person’s 15th birthday with a Quinceañera. a quinceañera celebration is not a sacrament, but it is an opportunity to catechize young people and their families, uniting in prayer to invoke God’s blessings.
Mary, Mother of the Church offers a liturgy presided over by a deacon that includes the Liturgy of the Word, the distribution of the Holy Communion and a special blessing.
Parents interested in scheduling a quinceañera should contact the parish office at least one year in advance, keeping in mind that regular CCE attendance and participation in a special retreat are required of all quinañera/o candidates.
